Default Odd/Horrible Grinding Noise

I own a 1990 Automatic Honda Accord DX with 198k miles on it () and until now it's been amazing. I've put about 5000 miles on it so far without trouble, but the trouble that's sprang up is a horrible sounding noise.

Been driving it all day without problem and then all of a sudden halfway to the bank to cash my check (about 7 miles) I start hearing a thumping noise as if something's stuck in the tread of my tires, so I just ignore it, but I was also concerned because about 3 weeks ago until recently, anytime I would take a sharp corner the front driver's side wheel (that's where it sounded like it was coming from) would make a thumping noise similar to the new noise.

I'll list:

startup: no noise
up to 15mph: no noise
15-30: just a thump
After 30: Horrible grinding noise I can only describe as rough robot sex or car mutilation with a saw

If I accelerate: Noise quits completely
Once I let off of the gas: HORRIBLE NOISE
If I brake: no noise
Slow speeds after the noise has come on I'll get the noise which decreases slightly with speed decrease, but it remains loud and horrible (drove home through the 30 in town with the window down to hear the noise)

It doesn't effect steering or handling at all. I can feel the gas pedal sort of shake and vibrate .. it's like I can feel it in the undercarriage of the car.

I should pop it into neutral driving down the road, but idk if it's a wheel bearing or anything like that? I'm not very good with cars.

I"m thinking cotter pin rubbing against suspension component or that metal guard in the back of the knuckle rubbing on the rotor or something. You might have bent something when hitting something in the road.
