Default Noise after replacing all belts, idlers and water pump

Regarding my 2000 V6 Accord with 128K miles - I just replaced the timing belt, water pump, idler and tensioner assembly plus both accessory belts and the idler pulley/bearing. There is whirring, belt noise that was not there before. Sounds like blower belt noise on a Hot Rod. Not cool coming from an Accord!

I removed the P/S, Alternator and A/C belts and the noise is still there. I removed the upper front timing belt cover (the easiest to remove) and listened to the pump and the idler with a short piece of copper tubing. No sound. That leaves the tensioner.

Water pump is by Aisin, Timing Belt by Continental, Idler by Koyo, Tensioner assembly by GMB. All OEM suppliers to Honda. Coud this be a stiff/noisy belt or is there a looming problem here? I do not want to go back inside!! All went well the first time around, but it was very frustrating reaching and removing all the bolts and especially the crank bolt!!!!!

I'm loosing sleep over this and any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Sounds like the timing belt is too tight.

You can remove both accessory belts, start it and run it briefly. See if noise goes away. if not, then you know it is in the timing belt/water pump/tensioner

Does sound like the timing belt is a little too tight. Is there an adjusting nut on the idler pulley like the F22/H22? If so, you can adjust the timing belt.

Sounds reasonable, but the tensioner is automatic. No way to reduce the tension. Maybe the tensioner is faulty. Is there a spec on what the belt deflection should be??? I have pushed on it with a long 3/8" ratchet extension and it deflects only about 1/4" with a good pry!
