Default A new CD6 on the block

What's up yall? I recently started bringing my 96 accord back to life. It's a CD5 getting a CD6 front end. Right now all effort is on the motor. I have a thread in the All motor forum about that. But I'm getting some goodies and trying get some Ideas.
So far

I'm thinking about the sir spoiler
And I'm waiting on new fenders from password JDM
I'll keep everyone updated and I plan to document the whole build very well.

OK so the car is a 96 4 door accord. I have always called those a CD6 but maybe I'm wrong and it's a CD5 here and a CD6 in Japan IDK. either way It's an accord soon to have a mildly built H22 and hopefully lots of cool JDM goodies.
Damn it's good to be back in Honda Land.

HAHA,
Well the car is still sitting in my mother-in-laws drive way.
Here is the deal it was an stock h22 in the accord and I spun it up to 8k 1 too many times, I think it skipped a tooth on the timing belt and I smacked a few valves. Anyways shortly there after I bought a brand new 2006 evo 9 MR in Jan 06 Great car but Dumbest thing I ever did.
So I recently sold it and decided to resurrect my old CD. Which by the way was originally my High school graduation present. Now being 26 I finally decided what to do with it. =P
I will be towing it to my house in a week or two But I'll snap pics of the monstrosity next tuesday when I go get the tranny.

Is this a true RHD CD6 or a CD5 that your trying to make look JDM?

It's rather childish to go around saying you have something you don't. It is complete actually. If it is a true CD6 I will apologize after you post the pics of your car.

ghost, when you see someone saying they have a CD6 Accord or EK9 or EG6 Civic for example, chances are they in fact do not and are just using the chassis codes from Japan for whatever reason whether it's misinformation or they like it better.

I know TA. It's a little thing with me to see ignorance used as an excuse to say your car is something that it's not. If your an enthusiast of something and your going public with a build that your doing. Maybe you should know what it is your an enthusiast of. Specially when the claim is of having a CD6. That is a rare car over here in North America being RHD. Yeah yeah an Accord is an Accord.....Is that why we have separate CB7 clubs and CD5 clubs?

Anywho

/my childish rant

TA you can remove all of my useless posts from this thread

Good luck with your build no matter what chassis it is that you have.

I got the JDM nose cut from password JDM. it included the bumper, sir lip, fog lights bumper lights, and the headlights. It wasn't a bad deal either I paid 500 bucks plus shipping.
I think the guy's Name is Brad that works there he is cool. I'm still waiting for my jdm fenders to come in tho.

If your car's a 96, why did you buy a 94-95 bumper?? While technically that front lip IS the from the SiR (and every other trim) for those years, your 96 has a special SiR lip signature to 96-97 Accords. This is what should want for your year, it has the SiR front lip, SiR headlights, SiR front bumper lights, and SiR yellow fog lights:

Sounds like you got ripped off.

Not really,

Assuming it's the one from PWJDM the lenses, fogs, and headlights alone are worth the $500.

He just got a 94/95 bumper cover and lip with it. That happened to be from a SiR Accord - which looks the exact same as the USDM.

There seems to be a lot of misconception on a lot of peoples' minds about what is/isn't a SiR setup.

Ripped off meaning he didn't get what he needed, which was a 96-97 setup, unless he wanted the 94-95 style for some odd reason. What he has is indeed a SiR setup like I mentioned. My setup is the same for my 94, I painted the lip kit though.
