Default Is my fuel pump going bad? Here's the symptoms.

My fuel pump just starting making some strange buzzing whining muffled sound when i turn the key to the on position. A couple of times it didn't make any noise at all and the engine was just turning over. Click the image to open in full size.
Any input would be nice. Click the image to open in full size.
Thanks...

a little noise when you turn the key to ON is normal. It's just priming up.

I vote for a bad pump. A bad main relay wouldn't cause the pump to get MORE noisy.

How about a fuel filter that's gotten plugged up? Then even a good pump has to work extra hard against a blocked filter. But that doesn't explain why sometimes it just doesn't run at all.
