Loud Screeching Noise when Braking
I have a 99 accord and whenever i brake theres a loud *** screeching noise and its getting outta control, i just recently put on new brake pads so i know it isn't the brakes...what els could it be, firestone told me it was the rotors and that they have heat spots....should i just get some new rotors? to stop the loud noise

When you change brakes The rotors have to be cut (dont buy new one unless you really need them ROTORS)

You should always replace or resurface your rotors whenever you install new pads, no matter how good the pads are they will screetch like hell if this is not done.

Re: Loud Screeching Noise when Braking (Donboss)
This is the sort of work that should be done either by a dealership or a shop that works on Hondas, not the Goodyear/Firestone/Brake Check stores that "work on all cars".
Frequently they do not have the proper equipment to surface the rotors correctly and use brake pads that are not the best for your car and more often than not simply do not have either a brake (anti-squeal) shim that goes between the brake pad the the piston in the caliper or a brake pad that has an anti-squeal design to it. The brake pad material may also simply not be right for your car.
I have seen cars come out of such shops that made such a noise when braking that the owner never even parked the car before returning to complain, which you should. If they do not resolve it, ask for a refund...and take the car some place else.
