Looking to put Euro-R front end on 2 door 2000 accord!!!! NEED HELP!!
Hi everyone i am new to the honda board and am looking for some help with my new build!!! this is my first ever post so please feel free to tell me if i am doing anything wrong and if i seem uneducated in the honda scene. i have been building racecars at my dads shop and have been racing since i was 14 years old on the dirt track!!! so i am more so familar with cars pre 81 era!! im a 1979 camaro owner and have recently bought my honda as a winter beater only to relize how much fun it is to both drive and modify these cars!! i plan on posting lots on this forum and requesting lots of help from you guys so that i can build a great looking car for both me and someone else to enjoy one day!! sorry for the long intro!!! i will begin my thread now!!!
Okay guys!!!!!! I have purchashed a 2000 honda accord 2.3 litre V-tech, fully loaded with cruise control, power doors and windows, leather seats...(cup holders...which is a first for me),and all the nice nooks and crannys of the high model 4 cylinder. When i bought it i put all new brake lines, brakes, gaslines, new rear struts, gas tank, battery, stock air box, and i did the whole timing gear crank seals and belts that everyone does around 150,000kms, and pulled off the pan and resiliconed it due to a leak i was having. after doing all of this i drove the car which is also a 5 speed manual and i just love the combined gas mileage and driving experiance. so i decided i wanted to keep the car for more than a winter beater and i want to make it my own. i joined a group on facebook where people buy and sell honda parts and i came across what i belive is called a Euro-R front end with fendders, hood, bumper, rad support and rad and was informed it was for the 2000 accords. so i bought it and am waiting for the winter to end so that i can do this swap of a euro front end onto my 2 door car. I was not aware however that everyone who has done the swap seems to have done it on a 4 door accord. after researching i belive to have established that this front end actually comes off a 4 door to begin with. This is where i have come to you guys for some assistance!!!!
If anyone could answer any of these questions for me you would all be of great help!!! i will momentarily post photos of both the car itself and the front end so people can see what i have to work with!! Without further ado here are my questions!!!
Does the Euro-R front end Mount up to the 2 door accord as well as the 4 door?
What is the extent of the wiring needing to be done on this swap?
Has anyone on here done this swap and can show me the final result?
What kind of hasstle is the alignment of this front end!
And then finally if anyone has any info on this swap small or large please comment and let me know!! thanks so much!!!!

Honda Accords the world over are similar to GM intermediates. You can swap fenders/hoods/etc on the various noses, but the door lines and belt lines usually don't match up.
There have been a few write ups, not sure if there are any in teh ACCORD FAQ at the top of the page. Search function is your friend, "Euro R" and 'Accord Type R' or 'ATR' may net you some results.
