lights went out
I was driving last night and when I went over a pothole my cluster lights went out and so did my parking lights.
I checked the fuse box, the fuse blew.
I replaced the fuse today and as soon as i turned on the parking lights the fuse blew again.
My car alarm is also not working, (alarm is connected to the parking lights so when activated or deactivated the parking lights blink)
Does anyone know the cause?
Other things in the cluster do light up, check engine, gear, check batt etc...
I have an automatic.

Re: lights went out (TouringAccord)
I don't have a garage and it's supposed to rain all week.
I will look at the alarm wiring when the time permits.
Thanks guys

Did your alarm stop working a long time ago or recently? what cause it to stop working? just randomly one day? If it died, then maybe whatever went bad in it eventually is now shorting out your parking lights.
You could try cutting the parking light wires from the alarm and leaving them off if you are not using the alarm again. Depend on who installed the alarm and how good the connections were made, maybe your wires were touching some metal body at the connection point as well.
Speaking about these issues, I REALLY need to get a fire extinguisher for my car. I would hate to loose it because something shorted out and I didnt have one on hand.

The alarm stopped when the lights went out after I went over the pothole.
I was able to activate it when I got in and drive, when I parked it was no longer functioning.

Re: lights went out (Bruce Banner)
solved it.
I was reading online and found a post very similar to mine.
The illumination wire from car to the cd player was exposed somehow and hit the chassis.
