Japan CV axle assemblys
Greetings to all from a newbie (me)
Does anyone know of SEQ brand cv axle assemblies from Japan. I'm told they are new, not rebuilt. I'm thinking of using them on my 96 Accord. Of course, that's if I can even find them.
Failing that I'd like to know if you have had good results with others such as Autozones Duralast.
Thanks for your help.

Save yourself the time, trouble, and headaches by just getting new OEM ones. They are most costly upfront but will last you much longer. There are quite a few users with 400+ WHP Accords running new OEM axles.
*edit*
The reasoning for that is most of the Autozone, NAPA, etc are just rebuilt junk and while they carry a lifetime warranty, tend to break fairly often. Unless you like changing axles every other month (okay, bit of an exaggeration, but still) I wouldn't recommend them.

Well, I would tend to agree with you on most of the auto part store stuff. Yet OEM Honda stuff is simply to expensive to be seriously considered. Yet, the SEQ's are new, and Japan made. Which suggests high quality at around $80.00 each.

You can take a gamble on them obviously, I have not even heard of the company....

Majestic Honda has the axles at $130 each for Honda remanufactured ones, which may be another alternative.

Thanks for the heads up regarding Majestic.
I'm not at all informed with regard to Chinese axles, except to say it has been said the quality is not always there from piece to piece. Something to do with the hardness of metal.

No problem, there are actually a few good sites to buy Accord parts from, both OEM and aftermarket. Majestic is usually pretty cheap on the parts but can sometimes get you on shipping/handling. There's another Honda site (think it starts with a B? Bernardi maybe?) that does online and doesn't have handling fees.
TAS Auto is another great Accord resource, there are some others in the Accord FAQ.

Just took a look at TAS. They are located very close to me. The axles they sell are new, priced at $80. I will call asap to find out who makes them. Of course I would love to hear made in Japan.
I'll browse the FAQ now.
