Incline stalling my car...?
i was driving the other day, in my 1994 accord lx coupe, 5spd, and as i came off the highway, there is a turn i have to make which takes me up a decently steep incline, so i turned into it, and as i let up on the clutch to engage my gear and accelerate the car cut out, and it was only on the incline where it did this, its weird, i dont get it, and its not the first time its happened, but the majority of the time, its been on an incline and i dont know what it could be, any ideas?

how much gas do you have when you do that? it might be that on the incline the fuel moves to the back of the tank away from the pump, making it so that the pump cant get gas

i know on a highway heading towards whippany, when the cars on that inclined highway, you do feel the car get a drastic decrease in power...

its weird, because i think ive only done less that 80 miles on this tank and so i dont know, i guess obviously the strain of an incline can put stress on a motor when it comes to performance, but to stall out, i dont get it, what part of the car, if it wasnt the gas, would basically be the part which controls the car from stalling on an incline? is that question answerable, im not even sure, but any help is help!

was your car knocking at all?
not to insult you, but were you in the right gear?
inclines put a tremendous load on the motor. misfiring, knocking, can occur causing your motor to lose power.
gas of a higher octane should cure a knock.

Re: Incline stalling my car...? (IVI)
i believe i was in the right gear, as far as the gas goes, i dont think thats the problem, see, there is something i forgot to mention, but when my car stalls out like that, it doesnt want to start afterwards, its weird, and when it cuts out it cuts out in the weirdest way making grinding noises, its so odd, i dont get it, i cant understand...

are you really high up there in jersey??? my car does something weird like i said when i head to whippany, its like climbing a mountain and ish, by the time i get high up there the car feels like it wont budge and i have my gas pedal on the floor and its just doing 70-80 only with stress.
but once im back down in ny area, everythings perfectly fine again. and jersey is a good place for freaking gas!!! $1.89 for 87 octane... god damn i miss those #'s...

the fuel filter i just changed less than 500 miles ago, and the fuel pump, as far as the last time i checked it, it was working just fine, which wasnt too many miles back, i guess i can check it again...i think the stalling might be associated with some loose wiring from removing my aftermarket ignition system, but i cant be sure so i think im gonna have to go and remove the splices etc... and redo them, then see if i get the same problem...
im so done with ******* honda's, its time to go teuton...they are meant to be these reliable machines that require routine maintenance, but nopers, not for people on here, all sorts of dumb **** going wrong, ****, i think im near my patience threshold, im gonna sell this piece of ****!
