Ignition Key stuck in steering column 1999 Honda Accord
I have a 1999 Honda Accord v6 EX, approximately 180000 miles.
Sometimes, the ignition key is stuck inside the steering column.
Then I have to restart the car 2-3 times to remove this.
Does anyone know what this problem is, and what I need to do to get this fixed.
Thank you

Re: Ignition Key stuck in steering column 1999 Honda Accord
Being an V6, your car is an AT.
Verify that you have the shifter all the way in Park. You can try playing with the shifter. Turn the key to II(ON) shift all the way to D1, then quickly shift all the way up to Park. Try to push it past Park. Don't break anything, you are just seeing if the cable is out of adjustment, the quick motion will keep the linkage in motion to activate the shifter interlock mechnism. If this does work then the cable is most likely in need of adjustment.
Key Stuck: Removing the key from the ignition switch or fixing seizing problem.
