humming noise front end of 98 accord
hey all im getting a loud humming noise from the front end of my 98 honda accord v-6. got about 119 thousand miles on it . the noise is coming from the front passenger side .i recently changed the front axle (which was bad ) wondering if it could be the front wheel bearing ?? i dont want to go out and buy one yet. i thought i should ask first ? the noise shounds like bad tire noise , it also has new tires thanks

as you are driving turn the wheel, right, then left. if when you turn the wheel and the sound goes away, BINGO that is a wheel bearing, and the direction you turn the wheel will tell you which side is bad

Check the tires. Are they chopped?

does not matter the miles you are diagnosing a problem so need to eliminate components from being the cause rotate tires and
drive car if noise still there than you know for sure you dont have to wonder about tires it is the easiest and cheapest thing to do ;-) it is free oh make sure they are properly inflated

Re: (deserthonda)
First off check that inflation. Check pressure and make sure it's good. Is it possible you got some tires that just have a bit more road noise than you are used to?
