yes it is that bad and the front one is extremely easy to replace but the others might be a pain for someone who is not to handy with tools
don't know how much it might cost from a service place but you will probably get butt raped no matter what

I just bought a front motor mount for mine today from auto parts wholesale online. i used a coupon code and got 10% off, I paid $60 total with shipping. I went to 3 different parts stores locally and none of them had it but if they special ordered it, it would have cost around the same. Which mount is bad?
The front one and the drivers side one are easy. The passenger side one takes a little more patience. The back one being the most work. You are looking at spending about $40-60 for each one if you do it yourself. When I was younger and didnt know how to work on a car at all one went out, and I was charged around $180 for the work. You want to replace it asap though. If it fails completely it can really mess other things up

which motor mount is it?

If the engine is bouncing back and forth VIOLENTLY when you put it in gear then it should be replaced, if it's not that bad I would leave it. Although it sounds like you're not financially ready to get it fix, I would take it to a trustworthy shop and get a better opinion on wether to fix it or leave it.

I have a 92lx...and the stealership banged me out for 100 on the front wishbone! After that it was to the internet...I've changed all four mounts twice, from aftermarket back to Honda:
*Front (wishbone) mount-piece of cake~should be 60-75 bucks for part
*Driver's side (engine mount) is around 70 bucks and a 15 minute fix
*Passenger side (transmission mount) in also around $70 and not too bad, but requires removing air box, battery and tray, and starter (starter removal makes the job much easier)
*Rear (solenoid-controlled) mount is by far the toughest. The Honda part is $200+ and it CAN be replaced without engine removal, but it takes ALOT of patience. You can either remove the CV joint and remove through the bottom of the car, or as in my case, you can remove your air supply duct along with some other misc. stuff, and wiggle it out through the passenger side of the engine compartment (this takes alot of patience and may seem impossible, but it's not...and removing the solenoid off of the mount first will give more wiggle room)

What website did you buy your mounts from?

What mount is it and what car are you working on?

I've found that Anchor-brand mounts are very good and look identical to OE down to the casting numbers. It wouldn't surprise me if Anchor bought the original Honda tooling to make them. Other brands (DEA, Westar) look significantly different and don't fit correctly. The front or side mounts (Anchor brand) are about $20 each from Amazon. The driver's side mount and front mount are both easy, transmission side is a little bit harder. Rear mount is not easy at all. Access is very tight and you will need to move the engine significantly with a jack to get it out.

I speak from experience on a 92/93 Accord EX with a manual transmission.

I have an 09 v6 Accord

Honda service center just told me I had three broken engine mounts; Front, Right, and Rear.

Cost to fix with them:
Front = $874
Right = $279
Rear = $919

They also gave me the longest list of what was wrong with my car since my last visit 2 months ago. They then proceeded to tell me that the work needed almost exceeds the worth of my car, and I should go ahead and talk to someone about trading my accord in for a new one. The guy admittedly said they didn't have any of my car in stock and needed one. Once they said this, it all made sense; it's a scam. I am going to take my list of things wrong and get it checked out elsewhere. I will never go back to a Honda dealership again. That was probably my first mistake.
