HELP! A/C auxiliary fans not kicking on... car overheating
95 accord 4 cyl. Auxiliary A/C fan does kick on when I turn the car off and the engine is warm... but they don't kick on when the A/C is on. Car is overheating in stop and go traffic as a result. What sensor(s) are responsible for telling A/C fan to turn on when A/C is on? Also, does that fan have only one speed or does it have a low speed (on when low A/C is on) and high speed (on when high A/C is on)?
Really need some input on this ahead of our roadtrip on Wednesday.

95 4 cyl....after the car is off, the right/pass fan will come on-I refer to that as the cooling fan.
Anyway, follow the LOWER hose to the t-stat housing. Once there you will see a two wire green connector to Thermo A. Remove that connector and jump the wire side of that (paper clip or what ever), turn the car on/pos II or running (AC off)- Do BOTH fans run?
