I just poured a can into a squirt bottle, took off the intake plumbing, started the car, and went to work with the BG through the throttle body while giving it some gas.
About a million squirts later I shut off the car and let it sit for about 5 mintes so the BG could go to work on the carbon.
Started it back up and drove around slowly until the smoke stopped coming out from the exaust (theres not that much smoke) and then did some high rev action to blow anything left over out.

It smoothed out the idle a good amount, so its no longer rattling the steering wheel, but rather a slight vibration which leads me to my next culprit: MOTOR MOUNTS! and while Im at it Ill probably pull the engine and do the timing belt and oil pan gasket as well...

you don't need to pull the motor to do the timing belt, nor the oil pan gasket...

i "think" he is saying he would change the timing belt and oil pan gasket with the motor out of the engine bay while he is changing the motor mount

but you dont need to pull the motor to change the motor mounts either,

And I know you don't have to pull the engine, but who wants to spend all that time hunched under the hood and laying under the car.

Its called "eliminating obstacles" and its only of common sense. Maybe you should use the search function to find out what common sense is

Sorry for the somewhat newbie question, but could you go in to a bit more detail about the "intake plumbing"? i.e. what did you pull off and where did you apply the BG44K to? Thanx for the info.

BG44K is the Bizzzomb! after a tankful of that stuff, i've noticed a smoother idle and an additional 4 mpg increase from what it was before.

the "intake plumbing" is the rubber tube between the throttlebody and the airbox. you just disconect both ends and remove to gain access to the throttle body. All I did was spray directly into the throttle body, but remember to go slow. you dont want to hydro lock. I would reccomend putting one through your gas tank first and see if that works.

i got mine through a local goodyear tire service center. and yes they are kinda pricey.

sochman: not yet, i'm looking for a cam and meanwile i'm portmatching the intake and exhaust ports.. nothing too wild.. plus the weather hasnt been too great so its slowed me down.

Are you suposed to spray this stuff into your throtle body or dump it in the fuel tank????

dumping it in your tank with clean out the fuel system/injectors.

spraying it will clean yout intake manifold and hopefully your valves.

Will it loosen up seized compression rings on the pistons? I am losing compression through my rings and was wondering if a can of BG44K would help.

i dont think it'll help with the rings but you should try that CD2 oil additive

am i the only guy who cant find a bottle of bg44k in ny.. i know online is a way to go, but i dont want to wait .

you can try running a heavier weight of oil...20W50....
that might help a bit...

try RESTOR oil additive. i put some in my 90 d16a6 and the oil consumption has decreased dramatically. ive only heard good things about this product so it might be worth a try for you.
