Help My 1990 Accord Trunk won't Lock/stay closed

Default Help My 1990 Accord Trunk won't Lock/stay closed

right now my stupid trunk is being gay the cable i guess must be rusted or something for the latch but anyways i can't lock the trunk closed it just won't close its like in an open position all the time.. right now the trunk is zip tied shut from the inside

Time for a WD-40 bath. Get an old towel and a can of WD. Soak the heck out of the latch mechanisim attached to the trunk lid. Leave it set in a while and wipe excess and dripping WD-40 as needed. You should be able to work the latch with your fingers, and get it to latch closed with little effort. Use your key to unlatch and repeat the latch/unlatch sequence a few times to work in the lube.
