Help changing rear brakes pads
I'm trying to change the rear brakes pad on a 96 EX 4dr. I'm trying to push the piston back in with a brake separater but the piston doesn't go. The hand brake is NOT up and I tried bleeding the line. the Brake fluid cap was also loosened. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

The piston has two groves it it that are perpendicular to each other and make a X more or less, the piston has to be rotated back into the caliper.. Take a Big Screwdriver and use the side of it to slide into one of the groves and screw it back in till its flush with the caliper... They also have a tool for this that you can get at any NAPA or advanced auto...

Crap that is what I did and noticed that the ABS comes on and off. I Need to bleed the line and tighten the screw at the sametime to get rid of the light right??

Yeah it's a two person job. One to open the bleed screw while the other depresses the brake pedal. Then close the bleeder. You should be routing the old fluid through a pipe into a jar of brake fluid. Keep the pipe submerged at all times to prevent air from getting sucked into your system. Keep going until the new, clear brake fluid starts seeping into the jar.

speed bleeders are nice. yeah, you depress while you tighten. make sure your fluid resevour is full because if you bleed out all your fluid and air goes into your system that way, you will have a whole new set of problems.

all you need is a towel to catch the brake fluid. If you have lots of air, what you do is keep the bleeder valve open and pump the pedal back and forth a few times tell the fluid isnt just coming out but scwerting out, make sure the fluid lever doesnt get too low
in the reservoir. Then pump the pedal a few times, when it gets pretty stiff, hold it down, open the bleeder screw. then tighten it right away and let up the pedal , then keep on pumping until and bleeding
