Groaning noise from engine
I have a 1995 manual Honda Accord with app. 130,000 miles. Sometimes when accelerating up an incline my engine will make a kind of groaning noise (no loss of power, just the noise) It sounds like I'm accelerating in too high a gear at too low a speed, but this has only been happening the past 6 months or so.

Re: Groaning noise from engine (gqstatus05)
Nope, my rpms and acceleration stay steady, there is just a deep groaning noise as if I'm in too high a gear at too low a speed. This has only been happening recently though I'm driving the same and in the same conditions.

May be a possible tranny issue. I notice my car is starting to make a noise and also my RPM's jump to like 3000k when I step on gas sometimes. I have to let go, tranny kicks and then stabilizes. I'm going to run it to the ground before I replace it. Doing a motor swap soon anyway.
