g power vs laser platinum ngk plugs
Are the NGK laser platinum (double platinum) plugs worth the $10/ea price over the $3/ea NGK G power plugs (single platinum) for use on a stock f22b2 motor? I have no immediate plans for modding the engine.
Will the steel on the side electrode wear faster on the g power plugs since there is no platinum dot for the spark to jump to? Or is it mostly higher build quality, not the extra platinum, that raises the price? Is that price justified for a 20 year old stock motor?

Re: g power vs laser platinum ngk plugs
They're both platinum, but the $10 ones have a platinum dot on the side electrode too, while the cheap ones only have platinum on the center electrode. When the double platinum plug gets hot the spark misses the platinum dot on the side electrode anyway and jumps to the steel next to it, so what difference does that platinum on the side electrode make?

Re: g power vs laser platinum ngk plugs
I just got the g power plugs, I figure it's cheaper to just change those more often, and I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna have this car anyway.
Installed em today along with a vc gasket, upper spark plug tube seals, and a valve adjustment. She purrs =D
