Re: Fixing my fuel leak
10 mm or 3/8 in. is the size of the fuel line? Near the back of the line where is is seeping it is pretty crazy with the bends where it terminated nto the plastic quick connect. I have a NAPA and a Robbins auto locly that have fuel line bulk by the foot just need to put the bends in it.

Re: Fixing my fuel leak
mine was in the exact spot as Sorcerer's. I took the old bracket into the autoparts store and the guy helped me find the right hose and fitting.
I cut the rubber hose and the steel pipe, removed the bracket, and spliced it together with about 6" of fuel injection hose- on the steel side, I just peeled the plastic off the steel pipe and the 5/16 hose fit right over top. on the rubber side, got a brass male/male adapter and clamped on both sides. no leaks so far!!

Only problem now is, I can't figure out how I took off the cover panel in the first place! I was under the car when I first took it off, now I moved the car to a new spot and had to take the wheel off to get to the line, so I'm not sure where the cover goes without the new line getting in the way. Anyone have a diagram or picture of where it goes? There's only one screw in it, I just have to figure out where to put it.

Make sure the hose you use for the repair is fuel-injection hose - not standard rubber fuel line. There are also special fuel-injection clamps that should be used as well. If you do not do this, the repair will not hold in the long run.
I do know the plastic cover you're referring to. I don't have a photo or diagram, but if you crawl back under the car you should see where it goes. Look for the screw hole.

Re: Fixing my fuel leak
Dang this fuel line is seeping in another spot due to rust. I am not speading the crazy money to replace the mild steel hard line. Anyone bypass the whole thing by running a high pressure fuel injector hose from the pump to the engine bay? This is my third car just need to have it for when one of my other cars goes down. All have over 100k on the clock.

Re: Fixing my fuel leak
Looks like its leaking from the top of the tank. You're going to have to drop the tank. I did and just replaced the pump and all metal lines with braided lines.

Re: Fixing my fuel leak
What is the best option for fixing a steel fuel line corrosion on my 2002 Honda CRV EX 4WD? The failure is occuring in a straight horizontal section of steel line a few inches off the fuel pump and appears to have failed inside out. I am debating on splicing in either (1) replace the OEM steel pipe connection at the fuel pump and take it down to a visible area of the car to splice the new pipe steel-to- existing steel connection or (2) nylon high pressure fuel hose splice. I've indicated where on the 17700-S9A-A03 single fuel pipe that the perforation has occurr
