Default Few Problems And FEW questions... Ball joints

Just came back from a trip from chicago back to toronto, weird issues and problems happening with the car. I had it inspected by Honda America they told me:

1. Transmission fluid is overfilled needs servicing
2. Brake Fluid needs to be flushed
3. Ball joints are busted.

When driving theres a loud noise coming from the left, and I suspect due to the left ball joint that is busted. However I was told by Honda that Ball join cannot be replaced as just that but I have to pay $400 (parts only) for the whole knuckle?

a. Where can I get the ball joints for the car? I can't find them anywhere.

b. Can I flush the brake fluid myself? What kind of brake fluid should I use and what can I use to flush it?

There was a rear main seal leak on my car before I left for my trip, now theres no leak... it's so weird! I did get an oil change while on the chicago trip.

I have the same problem, the ball joint is 80$ bucks and can be replaced by itself. The thing is that you need special tools to do it or just shear force (I'm taking about banging it out and in). Quick fix is take the wheel and rotor off and spray it with lubricant .. works for a month

Upper or lower ball joint? The front uppers require replacement of the entire control arm. There's many companies that sell the control arms with bushings and ball joint. The lowers you should be able to press out and replace. For parts, go here:

TASAuto.com

Cheapest place for parts and very quality stuff. They only make parts for 90-02 Accords, so they deal directly with our cars.

It's a left lower ball joint, the noise coming from the left driver side front is so annoying.

I replaced my whole knuckle for $40. Go to http://www.car-parts.com . Yours might be more because it is newer, but I bet you can kind one. It might be under spindle, knuckle, or hub assembly.

VERY dangerous to drive with a busted ball joint! Your front left wheel / knuckle assembly could kick off the lower control arm and send you flying in any direction. Lower ball joints can be replaced without the entire knuckle. If you have the skills to remove the knuckle your self, (take off the wheel, undo upper ball joint castle nut, undo lower ball joint castle nut and tie rod castle nut) I would do that and bring the knuckle and a new ball joint to a mechanic just to swap the ball joints. That would save you a lot of money.
