F23 Oil Pan - Gasket or Honda Bond?
As I mentioned in my last post, my 2001 4cyl Accord has an oil leak in the back corner of the oil pan. I'm going to pull the pan and reseal it.
Is there a gasket for this pan or do I just need to find some Honda Bond?
If I use Honda Bond how much do I use to ensure a good seal without making a mess and cloging the oil pump?

Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com & put in your car's information. Look under "cylinder block" or something like that & see whether there's a gasket. There probably IS a rubber gasket.
Lay the gasket out flat for a day or 2, so it doesn't want to curl up when you install it. Make sure the old gasket doesn't leave behind any steel grommets around the bolt holes. Only use a tiny bit of HondaBond; too much will lubricate the gasket & it squirms out of place when you tighten. The torque on those oil pan bolts is pretty small, don't overtighten them.

Re: (Beach Accord)
it uses ultraflange 2 ( a little thicker than honda bond ) that's what they use though and it is a pain to clean of the old too by the way
