Default F22b DOHC ECU question

Hey,

Can anyone tell me what ECU they are using in their F22B engine swap.? I have a 94 accord LX POA ecu and I am installing a JDM F22B DOHC engine.

1 Will the ECU from a single cam accord(POA) non-VTEC run the dual cam F22B?
2 What ECU is reccomended for this Engine?

I have a USDM H23a wire harness. I will be dropping the engine and tranny in the car this weekend. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

most people run the DOHC F22B ECU.

it is possible to use your stock ECU but i wouldnt recommend it. you wont see all the gains

the H23 ECU will work as well, but its got the knock sensor as opposed to the DOHC F22B which doesnt.

cruise HT, i remember i think 94AccordDX had the DOHC F22B ECU.

people have reported that the h23a1 ecu works better with the dohc f22b than the f22b ecu does. just add the knock sensor and your set to go

Yeah thats kinda true, the h23a doesnt have a speed govenor like the f22b ecu. I have one (dohc f22b ecu) I run it on my single cam no problems, and yeah you can use your 94 ecu, but like they all said its not as good as the f22b or h23a ecu

Hey Thanks for the info. I also looked at some of your archived posts and they were helpful. One more question. Do you know the ECU code for the F22B? I have the POA ecu. I found an ECU at a local salvage tard and its a P12-A52 any thoughts on this setup. That chip came out of a 94 prelude SI 2.2 non vtec.

Thanks
Again

that would be the same ECU as a stock accord

2.2 liter non vtec prelude = f22

Why not use the h23 harness? I would have to modify the accord harness alot to match up with the different sensor locations.

I started the changeover today. I now understand why I need to keep the Accord harness.

Thanks
