Default f22 vtec i.D. ?

do any of you know the engine block numbers off the vtec f series engines for the 5th gens...as in f22_ _ ? i can't get a clear read on the block numbers for this vtec...pictures provided below...any help will be appreciated, thank you.

F22B1 is VTEC and F22B2 is non VTEC

right, so after looking over the F Series Specs Thread.. it basically has to be the f22b1, correct?

right unless for some stangely odd reason it is a F22B2 block with a B1 head

Actually the F22B2 has better flowing intake ports on the head. The F22 is a great motor to start with, nad can pick a whole swap up off of a eBay for only 600 - 700 motor & tranny with around 40,000 miles

that's the option i have before me, an f22b1 with 37k on it, my f22b2 has 161k on it. all in all, i just want less miles. i will however rebuild my b2 while building up the b1 b1 similar to accord380's setup on his b1

I'm building mine right now...(f22b1).. pistons... port/polishing. camshaft... valves / valve springs... I will post up results when is done!

cool, then let me know what's up when your done..because there's a big price difference between the f & h series..though they're interchangable.

done as in finished complete or done as in FINISHED, demolished. i'm looking to get new cams, pistons, rods, valve/valve springs, port and polish. headers, cold air intake, new fuel rail, new exhaust kit, modified intake manifold...and last but not least expensive, the turbo kit.

(basically i'm making my 5th Gen a part time job) and i think alot of people will say there's nothing wrong with that. just as long as priorities are kept in line

Looks liek it will be a good build. Headers and turbo you mean turbo manifold right?
