F-Series Hybrid CAM ???
I have a F23a4 Block i bought the other day for my cb7. I want to rebuild with 87mm pistons, stock cast. Was thinking F23A5 pistons (heard they have -13.6cc dome vs F23A1,2,4 with -14.0cc dome) slightly raises compression ratio.
With stock f23a rods and crank for that 97mm stroke. With a F22a6 Head for better air flow (motor will be N/A for its a daily driver with almost 294k on stock f22a6 block) Will have to mill head and block for a total of 0.020" and Run a 87.5mm by 0.040" H23A head Gasket.
NOW my question, CAMS!?!?! I would like to run a Bisi Stage 2, but i hear everyone runs the Delta 272 or 282. MY question is not which is better, but which cam can i safely run without worring about piston clearance. I believe since they are stock F23A5 pistons they should be ok, but my worry lies in the A6 head with the F23 crank and rods.
I believe i could run a stage 3 cam with this set up but would be completely pointless. Just wondering if anyone had any trouble with valves and pistons hitting each other? Believe the build was done once, read in CB7tuner forums. I know i could clay the engine, also saw a formula online. Just exploring my options and was wondering what works! Thanks.

Save yourself some Halle and Getty a colt tri flow cam. Better service than bisi and probably better performance. As far as clearance you will need to measure and to be really safe clay it.
