escalating electrical problems

escalating electrical problems
I've got a '93 Accord 10th anniversary edition. It has been experiencing electrical problems. It suffered a flooding in fresh water with the water rising to the floor pan. The back seat had water in the floor pan, but the front seat floor pan just soaked the rug and no more. The ECU and TCU were removed and dried, just in case of moisture NOT IMMERSION. This happened 4 years ago and everything was fine until recently when things started to go wrong.
1st, the radio stopped working but would come on occasionally. It would retain all the preset stations and the motorized antennae always works.
2nd the Brake Lamp Indicator light on the dashboard lighted and stays on. All bulbs are good and tested for continuity. I have tried to jump the white/grn wire to ground, but the light stays on.
3rd, the safety indicator lights for open doors and trunk came on and stays on Nothing I have done makes a change. Note: when I put the turn signal on the safety signal indicator lights dim a little each time the blinker blinks.
4th, now the transmission is acting up. I start the car and the CEL comes on and so does the D4 transmission light before I turn the key to start position. Sometimes the D4 light goes out at the same time the CEL goes out and everything runs like it's suppose to. Other times when I turn the key the CEL and D4 light come on. Once the CEL goes out I start the car but the D4 light stays on and the transmission does not shift properly. I have to run the gears.
5th, with the key turned on and all dash lights energized including the D4, car not running, I can pump the brake and the D4 light will extinguish, but not always.
All lights inside and out work, the cigarette lighter works, dome light, power windows, power locks, what else?
I have jumped the connector to read the CEL codes, there are NO codes for the ECU or the TCU. kI have cleaned as many ground connections as I can find. I have taken a look inside the TCU and found NO evidence of bad capacitors or resistors. It is a TCU made in Georgia, honda tcu 28100-pxo-722, which are said to have problems. I have looked for broken wires and the car has never been wrecked.
I have checked all the fuses both visually and with a omh meter/continuity tester. I have replaced the 4 relays in the under the hood fuse box. I have switched out the main relay.
I am out of ideas and need help!!! Anyone that has a clue, please speak up! Is there a ground that is common to these ailments? Do the brake lamp sensors work in line with the safety indicator system,
I have searched these forums until I am cross eyed, Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for reading this saga, If you can help please reply

Re: escalating electrical problems
I would start with the grounds. There are quite a few, and if one or more are starting to corrode, youll get the issues like you are talking about. Theres many diagrams out there...showing where the chassis grounds are. I would go one by one,,,unbolt...clean then CHECK each ground to the negative ground post. Just because it looks good...doesnt mean much...test it!! Good luck

Thanks for the reply but I have done that. I admit there might be some that I have missed and I will continue to look. Do you know of any that are particularly hard to find? I have followed the pages of locations in the various manuals.

Re: escalating electrical problems
Electrical gremlins...can be aggrivating. Theres really no silver bullitt. Just take your time..and get a good electrical diagram. The FSM provides the best. If your familier with how to use a VOM, and have the patience...youll find it.

Re: escalating electrical problems
Thanks for the encouragement, I need it. What is FSM? My next move is to start separating all the electrical connections, looking for corrosion, etc.
