Icon2 Issue with my 'Charlize'

Hey. Need some mehanical assistance/advice. 1st my car was bucking a bit usually when I was changing gears. Yesterday it wouldn't turn on. There was no clicking sound when I turned the ignition. I removed battery cables and waited 2 minutes then it turns on. But still having issues where car feels like it's about to shut off. It sometimes happens when the rpm is below or at 2500 Or it happens when I'm accelerating. Ideas? Could it be the starter or clutch? Forgot to mention that when the AC is on it also idles sort of low like around 800 or less

Alternator is good. Gonna change the fuel filter. Pump is working I heard it this morning as I turned the key to ACC on the car. Car keeps starting up every morning without problems. Just on acceleration it stutters and then gains acceleration.

Year and model will help.

Any lights on the dash? Did you check the ECU for any codes?

Are the plug wires securely seated? Check the cap and rotor for wear.

My friend had a problem similar to this with his 'Teg.
It turned out being him just needing plugs and wires, and a Distrubitor(sp?)

800 rpm idle isn't low (mine has idled there it's whole life unless its warming up when it's cold out).

The studdering issues point moreso to ignition items as xtreemhonda mentioned or possible an idle-related sensor (TPS, IACV, etc.). The EGR system has also been a culprit. There have been many threads that have covered about similar problems and all of them seem to have a different answer or no answer at all.

I had a similar issue and replaced all of the ignition system that was old and tested all my related sensors. Nothing worked. However, the problem magically disappeared when warm weather came around. Going to be checking the EGR whenever I get time.

Point is, it could be a lot of things, so start checking what has been suggested.

I apologize. Its a 1996 LX Wagon F22B2 with 206k.

Update.... Fuel filter changed.... along with fuel line.... Still stuttering on acceleration. I think it might be EGR... it misfired when it almost shut off 2 days ago.

My B2 motor has (what I think is the EGR valve) I disconnected the rubber hose to it and it still stuttered. I kinda narrowed down the stuttering. It only stutters when I accelerate too quickly but if I acclerate slowly and smoothly-no problems. Here are pics of what i think is the egr valve. The red encircled item is connector and black is most of EGR. Lmk if I'm correct.

I'm probably gonna do this as well...
I'll let you know how it goes.

pull your plug wires and see if you have oil in your spark plug tube. it happens to me often(due to turbo) but it can happen to you if the spark plug tube seals are worn. they wear and become like a hard plastic/rubber allowing oil into the tube. this can cause your stutter. also check your cat. if it is clogged it will also stutter. due to your high mileage i would definitely check these. good luck

Cleaned out EGR and fuel injectors. They were duuurrtyy! I thought that fixed the situation but the stuttering was back..
Found the possible issue... Found oil in 3 of 4 plugs.... So I'll probably change out the gaskets, plugs and sparks. Then dizzy & cap.
