E-Test Question
Hello all, currently last year i did my E-test for my Honda Accord with a JDM H22A swapped in, but failed by not a large margin, just wondering if anyone can give me any opinions on the cause of it, i would assume it may be a bad catalytic converter but still unsure. Also based on the readings will i need to tweak anything further such as timing?
stat results of e-test listed below;
ASM 2525 Limit Reading Result
HC 294 255 Pass
CO% 2.32 4.16 Fail
NO ppm 3089 214 Pass
RPM 2120 Valid
Dilution 16.1 Valid
Curb Idle Limit Reading Result
HC ppm 300 501 Fail
CO % 1.50 1.87 Fail
RPM 622 Valid
Dilution 11.2 Valid

Re: E-Test Question
Drive to the emissions place and then pull out your 12mm and retard your timing and take the test like that. And/or buy the fuel additive that guarantees to pass. give it a google search.
I retard my timing and that worked for me.
My friend told me the guarantee pass fuel additive works for him.

Make sure your air filter is clean, oil is fresh, no leaks in the spark plug tubes, and a properly working ignition system and make sure your O2 sensor is a quality unit. Look for air leaks in the intake and exhaust. Make sure there are no vacuum leaks. Set the ignition timing to the correct setting with the blue plug jumped(make sure the engine is at correct operating temperature before setting.
