I know you guys said 98 CL, but will a 99 CL 2.3 hub work? When I searched for the part number listed, it comes up as a 98-99 CL hub. I want to know if I can get it from a 99 CL from a junk yard as well.
Has anyone gotten the bearings from Autozone? Is the bearings something I DEFINITELY want to spend the money on and get it from Honda? Is it possible re-use my original bearings?

As far as the bearing, that link seems ok, but I would get my bearings from AutoZone. I only get the Timken brand.

Nice Write up. Too bad I didn't see this before trying to change out the rotors on my 96 CE1 and ending up taking it to a shop & had them do the rotor, brake and re-pack bearing. I would have spent almost the same amount doing this myself & benefited me. I hope these pictures never go bad so we can refer to this

You were totally right, those SOBs probably took away life from my bearings, now my bearings went bad and need to get entire process ,basically, all over again *sigh*
with this being said, Is it safe to assume if I use my CE1's (5th gen wagon) calipers, 94-97 accord bearings, 98-99 2.3 CL hubs and 92-96 prelude vtec rotors , I'll need to get the 23t caliper bracket, correct?
(also, the prelude VTEC rotor is thinner 23T instead of 25T on the stock wagon rotor, just switch to a 23t caliper bracket)

if your doing a 97 Accord with a 2.7L V6 use these part numbers:
98 Acura CL 3.0
Hub- 44600-SS8-A00
Rotor- 45251-S84-G00
97 Accord
Brake Pads
Hub Bearing
I've spent more than i should have doing this but its a lesson no one else has to learn.
If you have questions about bearings just use oreillyautoparts.com it tells you what bearings are the same but i would buy from some where else

The part number on page 1 of this thread for the hubs is wrong.
should be
44600-SY8-A00
I suspect it's a typo since it lists YS8 instead (which doesn't come up in any of the catalogs!)

I plan on doing this soon and had a quixk question. On the axle nut, will a standard soxket fit or do I need a deep socket? Was going to buy an impact socket and wasn't sure which was best.

Guys, I will share with you my so far bad experience with doing something like a ROH that was in my head.
I own a CD7 which is 1996 Accord Coupe 2.2 non vtec sold in Europe. I live in Bulgaria.
Anyway,the car is having 282mm front rotors,25mm thick.The studs are 4x114.3mm.
So I decided to use parts from Honda Prelude H23A which you know as Si 4th gen ( 1992-1996), because that donor has the same 282mm diameter of rotors and also has 4x114.3mm stud pattern.I now see the thickness is less - it is 23mm.
Anyway, I thought to simply swap the entire front knuckle of the 4th gen Prelude Si and call it a day
DO NOT DO THAT
The camber is positive and castor angle is close to zero, so the car is **** to drive plus it will eat your tyres because of the 2-3 degrees positive camber.
I bought lower and upper CAs' from the Prelude, but if I use any of them the thing will just be worse.
I do not know or remember why I originally decided those suspension components are interchangable, but they are not.
I lost 5 hours on the past saturday to find it out.
Today I found this old thread and I will try to use the 4th gen Prelude hubs with my Accord bearings and to end up in a similar result as you guys that are using Acura 2.3 hubs ( I do not have Acura here in Europe).
Will write back to say how it went,but after doing some research on the bearings diameter on both my Accord and 4th gen Prelude I know there is a difference in the hub's diameter - exactly 2mm.
This means that I need to machine the hubs of 4th gen Prelude and make them 2mm less in diameter to be able to press my Accord bearings on to them.
I saw in post #118 before me that 'maddmatt02' had the same issue , because he ordered the wrong parts and had 98-02 Accord 4 cyl. hubs. His dimentions were exactly the same as the ones I researched.
So has somebody even tried what I am about to try very soon?

As I promissed here is the result of my machined 1mm total in diameter Prelude Si 4th gen hubs combo.
Parts used:
- 1992-1996 Prelude Si 2.3 hubs
- 1996 Accord Coupe front wheel bearings
- 1992-1996 Prelude Si 2.3 brake rotors ( 282mm, 23mm thick)
- 1992-1996 Prelude Si 2.3 brake caliper supports for 23mm thick rotor
- 1996 Accord Coupe brake calipers ( because the piston is bigger than the calipers of the Prelude,which means slower pedal but bigger pressure on the pads)
The hubs had to be machined 1mm in diameter to receive the Accord bearings.
Everything else is a plug-n-play , but the guy who did this for me mentioned he put washers under the caliper mounts to the knuckle ( not 100% sure for the place of washers) to center the caliper to the rotor. Maybe this is because he used my Accord calipers onto Prelude caliper supports. I wanted to use the full caliper&supports from the Prelude originally.
I only have issue with the big nut on the c.v. joint - it is too high with this setup, because now the c.v. joint doesn't stick outside so much like before ( because it has a brake rotor on top).
Do you guys have issue with that? The nut holds, but you can not hammer it as a thread stoper.
SO PRELUDE HUBS ARE A GO WITH A LITTLE MACHINE WORK.
Brakes are 100 times better than before, I am very happy with the end result.

Here is my idea since I can not find the Acura CL hubs cheap.My Accord is a '92 EX 2.2 manual transmission.

You can't get after market 2.3L CL Premium hubs anywhere as I don't think they make them but Acura/Honda. Only they have them and the CL hubs already comes with lug studs.
