Rim Width:
The width between the flanges of the wheel (the part the bead of the tire touches).

Section Width:
The linear distance between the outside of the sidewalls of an inflated tire without any load on it (this does not include any sidewall decorations).

Section Height:
This is also known as the Aspect Ratio. This is figured on a percentage of the section width. A tire size of 205/60R15 would have a section width of 205 millimeters and a section height of 60 percent of 205 millimeters.

205-50-15 is what I would opt to for better performance. Looks better IMO because it decreases side wall size and increases (in most cases) contact patch. Have a good holdiday.

P = tire type
195 = section width
80 = aspect ratio(section height)
R = construction type
15 = rim diameter

205/50-15 would look good on an accord as long as you have a 3" drop...

I have 205/50/15 w/ a ~1.3" drop and my car looks fine. You can't really tell a difference between a 205/50 and a 205/55. My speedo is even off the same mph between the 2 tires.

Yeah, it got a little cool sat nite/sun morn @ VIR in February. During the day it warmed up to about 50 or so. It sucks doing 120+ w/ the windows down when it is 50degrees outside!

I use 205/55/15's when the stock size is 195/60/15. I think 205/50/15 is way too small for an accord.
