Diagnostic port on 92 Accord LX
My neighbor has a 92 Accord lx 4 cyl. that won't start now. It would run for a while and would die while driving it. He replaced the fuel filter and would do the same thing. We replaced the fuel pump and ran for a day and now won't even start. We are looking for a diagnostic port to plug in another neighbors scanner, but can't locate it (if it even has one). Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Diagnostic port on 92 Accord LX (jtracing)
It's not obd2, a scanner will not work. The service check connector is under the dash on the passenger side. Pic below. You jump the two wires on the plug with a paperclip or wire, then count the flashes from the check engine light. Long flashes for the ten spot, short flashes for the single spot. Example: Three long flashes, followed by two short flashes, would be code #32. Any questions? Is the check engine light on?

Re: Diagnostic port on 92 Accord LX (BLKFLSH)
Thanks for the info. We did see some info in the haynes manual that covers that. He says there was no CEL when it died on him. We'll keep digging. Thanks again!!

I would go to CB7Tuner.com and do a search for Checking engine diagnostics in the DIY section.
I have read this myself and it's got all the codes on it and good ways to fix it, plus everyone there is very familiar with the CB7 chassis and can help you troubleshoot a bit.
I am Spartan1987 on there if you have any questions for me.
Good luck with the car.
