Engine Temp Gauge Past Red, But engine tested fine?????
CAR: 1994 Honda Accord LX F22b2
PROBLEM: After every start-up, engine temp gauge in cluster slowly goes up past red. Eventually will go down to normal after a few miles. Engine feels physically fine (not too hot).
Tested a 2nd ECU (No change)
Tested Thermostat (Tested within spec)
Tested Sensors #16 & #18 (Tested within spec)
Replaced Sensors #15 & #19 (No change)
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check coolant level =D. Is the level decreasing. Oil doesnt look a bit milky does it?

Hello,
I just fixed this in my car, same problem. i also replaced #15 and nothing happened. What a waste of $40!!!!
Two tests to do...Unplug sensor and if it drops to cold then its your temp gauge itself. If it stays at red then you have a short to ground.
Most likely its your gauge, thats what it was in my car. So you go on Ebay, buy another gauge cluster, and then swap your old cluster for the one you get off ebay. I'm selling one now but i see other ones for as little as $40.
The Haynes manual has a good section on how to get your cluster out of the car- its a lot of screws to get to it but then just 3 electrical connectors to the cluster itself. So put in the new cluster and voila it should fix the temperature problem.
Dont worry about the spedometer reading... you can take the clusters apart and switch the spedometer from your cluster to the new one.
Email me if you have any other questions or need more details... took me about 2 hrs to do the swap and i couldnt be happier... i put my old cluster back on ebay too!

have you burped the coolant properly to ensure there are no air bubbles?

there should be a bleeder nipple on the thermostat housing. when filling the coolant, keep that nipple open to let air out. close it once coolant starts flowing. then, leave the radiator cap off of the radiator and let the car idle to operating temp, when the thermostat should open. with coolant circulating, air will make its way to the highest point (radiator cap) and out. turn the car off, top off the radiator, and close it up.
as far as your issue, it sounds like the gauge. they tend to do that. try a new cluster (or just a new gauge) from a junkyard.
