Could a Bad Ignition Switch Cause No Spark ?
My 98 Accord has fuel but no spark. Turns over great but won't make any spark. The ignition switch has around 200k miles on it and looks worn out on the inside. Could a Bad Ignition Switch Cause No Spark ?

It can cause no spark. I know I,m an idiot, but I hooked up my battery backwards. Which I might have caused the lumps on contacts in my ignition switch. It would only run if I kept cranking the starter. I hot wired the car, which helped me diagnose the bad ignition.

There are three, main, items that will keep the engine from getting a spark. A bad ignition coil, a bad igniter and a bad distributor.

Yup. I think my battery charger over charged the battery. Moral of the story is to spend money on a good battery charger.
