Cost to Replace Clutch
My 91 Honda Accord Station Wagon with an automatic transmission needs a new clutch. How much should I expect to pay to have this done? Are there other things that should be done to be sure that the job's "done right?"

Re: Cost to Replace Clutch (jbrune)
Hmm well it usually costs about 1k for a full rebuild but it sucks, I know people who had some problems down the line.I had a 4th gen as well with problems after a full rebuild started slipping 1year later. 4th gen auto trans weren't meant to rebuild unless they specifically replace everything in it. Honestly I would say check junkyards for a used tranny less headaches. Are you sure its done for, checked fluid etc.

yeah i would look into a good (low mileage) used tranny. Ebay has a couple. I think you can also use 5th gen trannies as well. g'luck.
