cooling system issue
after my daily commute(70miles) i notice everyday that my radiator is bone dry, but my over flow tank is completely full and there is some coolant that has spilled out of it since it filled up too much. i have just recently had my heater core flushed, installed a new thermostat (opens at the oem temp) and i also just replaced the radiator cap. there is no leaks on my block anywhere (headgasket/timing belt/water pump was replaced about 15k ago), so i thought maybe air could somehow be trapped in the system so i tried bleeding it lastnight, but when i had the car idling at normal temp(with the heat on high and the radiator fans going with a proper radiator funnel with coolant) and i opened the bleeder screw on the thermo housing but nothing came out, at all! i unscrewed it all the way out and still no coolant was coming out, but there was coolant if you looked into the hole. ive tried searching the problem but everyone seems to have a simular problem, but having the thermostat as their issue.
has anyone encountered this type of issue before??
thanks in advance

Re: cooling system issue
boil some water on the stove and watch the thermostat if it opens, you never know if you got unlucky with defective one, happened on my nissan Qr25. Just watch you dont get burned from the steam buddy if you do it
