Default Computer Reset

Hey everyone...got a stupid question for ya...

I have a 93 Accord EX and the ABS light was on due to extremely low rear brake pads..well anyhow I changed the pads ......then disconnected the negative battery terminal for about 10 minutes.....is that all I need to do to reset my computer?

I am an old member here from last year (cottonfamily05) but my password could not reset so I am really not a Noob here just not familiar with the computer reset process..

Thanks everyone,

Eric

ive heard that does the trick, but to be sure you can pull the fuse thats for the ECU and that should reset it too.

might have been a good idea to jumper the service connector and get the code BEFORE the reset.. I've never seen thin pads or shoes cause an ABS light/ Repost with the code when it lights up again

will do...my local service advisor said they saw it but not that often...the caliper was literally sitting on the rotor...been out runnng today and no light and the abs has not engaged nor is the light on...we shall see

eric

also they were the stock rotors/brakes/calipers with 141kmiles on her...i know the old owners and it was never replaced...

frustrated....ABS light is back on...brakes all are fine tho..brakes fine and abs kicks in when required...do these lights need reset by the dealer when they kick on....i know something else could be wrong like a sensor but not feeling that cuz i know my car and the brake system...nothing feels wrong...

advise...cuz the exwife and the holidays got me a bit drained and the dealer says $80 just to run the test....

any ideas guyz??
