Code P1381
Hello guys,
I have a 1999 honda accord ex and the check engine light is on I'm getting the code p1381, replaced the distributer and the code is still there. I read somehere that it could be the alternator, can anyone help me.

Re: Code P1381
On obd2 cars the cyp and ckp sensors are at the oil pump and crank respectively.
Yes, the issue could be the alternator as well. You can buy a voltage meter that you can plug into your cigarette lighter for like $20 and monitor the voltage when driving.
Keep in mind Honda uses two modes, a low output mode and a high output mode for the charging system so sometimes itll charge at 12.50 and sometimes at the full 14.40 so keep that in mind when testing.

Re: Code P1381
I'm with the alt.........just me . A very well documented issue on these cars.
"Holmes" - Just me but I'd rather the OP spend ~$15 on a cheap voltmeter. Those voltage meters you plug into the socket are "nice" but the voltmeter has so many more uses.
