i have a 90 accord ex with a h22a w/ LSD tranny and the following mods CAI, n2 header, hayame cat back exhaust, aem pulleys, hayame cam gears,nology wires, denso plugs, 75 shot ZEX and a few more but i was wondering if i used 93 octane gas and added that NOS (racing formula) octane booster which i said to add 5-8 poin to the octane would that make a difference, and would that mess anything up engine wise, also anyone know the top speed of an h22a engine.

Why would you. Just make sure you put nothing lower than 93 in the tank and if you use an injector cleaner make sure it says safe for your O2 sensor...

I use 93 octane with Shogun octane booster. you can get the octane booster from pepboys. I think honda japan says to use 98 octane.

In japan they do have higher octane gasolines, and ive heard the number 98 before too. Running on 93 or 94 is probably fine. Adding octane boost wouldnt hurt but buying that all that time might get expensive. The top speed of an h22 is limited by the 5th gear, it hit the rev limiter in 5th at about 140-142.

I get octane booster all the time. it is 4 bux, and I can tell the difference... especially in 3rd gear.

Im not hitting it. I was referring to people with non-JDM ecu's. Top speed is RPM limited.

The place doing my swap suggests I run the NOS octane booster ever couple fill ups for a JDM motor.

I'll be bumping up my compression some day, but I never intend to use anything but pump gas. Octane boosters are so inconvenient. There's some dude here with a 12:1 CR CRVTEC running 93 pump gas no problem.

Exactly I have 11:1 CR and full advanced timing with no problems on Pump gas.
And that is just 92.. However I try to put some injection cleaner ever now and again or even some Sunoco 94 just for the perks..
