CD5 H23a Vtec Blue Top, OBD2 Swap
1997 Honda Accord EX 5 spd
i want to do a H23a Vtec swap and keep it OBD2 for inspection. I have been searching around the forums. And they said i can use the p13 OBD2 ECU.i wanted to confirm if that is true and Would i be able to use that with the h23a harness or do i use the h22 harness.
This is just Daily Driver build i also want to be keep AC and Power steering, i want to know if its possible with this swap.
any help would be great thanks.

obd2 life is weird. Jdm h23a were automatic only, there were no oem 5speed ecu's for this engine. Over here people either use jdm h22a ecu (with h22a intake, because h22a doesn't have IAB system and ecu can't conrol it) or reflash h23a ecu to 5speed. Something to note is h23a ecu uses obd2b, which is different from obd2a, which I beleive has been used in p13. You might run into some issue with distributor or random wiring stuff. I've had to butcher 2 engine harnesses together to make my CB3 h23a obd2 swap work. Overall it's not that big of a deal, but I'd do some more research beforehand to save time later.
As for the a/c and PS, i believe your a/c compressor would just bolt onto h23a, but you need another bracket to mount PS pump from the dohc engine, as h23a wagons use electric steering rack, no ps pump
