Are the CD6 and CD7 the same body style...
CD6=94-95
CD7=96-96
Is this right???

I need to know because I have a friend getting me some JDM parts.

all CD codes are for 94-97 Accords. The number designates coupe or Sedan if I'm not mistaken.

I thought it was:
CD5 = 94-97 Sedan
CD7 = 94-97 Coupe
USDM of course

I think...
CD6 = 94-97 Sedan
CD8 = 94-97 Coupe
JDM

I'm not exactly sure if those JDM chassis codes are correct but I could have sworn thats what I read somewhere before. If I'm wrong, please someone correct me.

chassis code for 6th gen

Looks like you have either a CG2 or CG3 depending on what engine you have.


Also to anyone wanting to know their chassis code, please run a quick search for "Chassis Code" in the archives of the Accord forum. It's a question thats commonly asked for the 4th, 5th and 6th gen Accords.

Actually, if you run a search on "Chassis Code" in the archives of all the forums, you'll see it's a common question all over this board

I looked at a couple of them and could not really find what I needed. The main question was what JDM cars are compatible with my CD7. I am just needing to get headlights and mirrors.
My buddy in Japan was kind of confused to which ones will work. They go pretty much by chassis code almost all the time there. So I really can't tell him to look for 94-97 SIR headlights.

Touring I think that those codes sound right, but it would be nice to get some definite information. Thanks

yeah, I searched on Google and a couple other search sites but only found lists showing 94-97 Accords as CD, no other number after or going more in depth.

But in reading through some of the archived threads on chassis codes, I did find this...

I know it's not definite, but it's all I could find.


As for what car to look for parts on for your car, the headlights from the CD6 or CD8 (if CD8 is correct) will work just fine. For the mirrors though, I'm not sure if there is a difference between the coupe and sedan.
