Changed Cv Axle Now get Rubber Smell
Hey Fellas,
I recently changed the passenger cv axle on my 94 Honda Accord. I also changed the brake pads (driver and passenger). I noticed that after I took for a test drive, I was getting this odd burnt rubber smell coming from the passenger side (side the axle was changed).
At first it smelled like an electrical burn smell..but as i drove it home from work yesterday, the smell was distinctively like a burning rubber smel.
Any ideas?

Thank you holmesnmanny,
After about five days of driving it, the smell is gone. Not sure is the pads needed to be worn in a bit or it was the smell of the new boot...either way thanks for your insight.
