can you interchange the transmisson on accord
okay i have a 1997 honda accord with the f22 motor and auto trans. this automatic transmission has the start in the middle top of tranny. on the front of the tranny it says its a BOYA tranny. my question is can i put a tranny from a 95 that says MPOA on the front. or do i have to find a BOYA transmission?
also does any accord tranny from an f22 engine with the starter on the top middle of the tranny work in any year accord?

All F and H series transmissions are interchangeable. A Automatic tranny starter will have to be used with an automatic tranny and same goes with the manual tranny starters.

i know it wont have any problems bolting up but will it work normal with the linkage and connectors and everything? work just like factory as long as the tranny is good?

FWIW the original trans in the '95 2dr EX was destroyed by the PO(hit a large rock) and was replaced with a '97 4dr LX trans which lasted 200K miles, currently sporting a MPJA(Odyssey) transmission.
