Default Can Someone tell me what is this sensor called? on a 1994 Accord

Well, this sensor is broken and full of oil and has my car acting up when i try to turn it on...i just got another one from the junkyard to replace it...Im just wondering what is it called...as soon as i remove it or touch it, I get the check engine light on and the D4 Flashing with out stopping. 1994 acord LX auto...4cl

From your pictures, it is still very hard to see the location. But, since I see the distributor, is it the sensor on top of the transmission? If so, it is the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), which would cause the D4 to flash.

Yes is riught under the distributor...

VSS is on the tranny and facing updates, that looks like the plug comes in from the side. From around the engine block.

I Believe its on the left side of the engine...not on the tranny...

The 2 pin connector in the head under the distributor is a temp sensor ;
The single pin connector is for the temp gauge sending unit;

If you make the pictures a little smaller and darker I'm sure you'll get some more wild guesses.

Its right under the distributor Cap its connected to the engine on the left side..

THANKS, i got the oring fixed on the distributor and the 2 pin connectors replaced..does the temp sensor affect the transmission also...?
