BG44K.......DIY ???
Honda (and a bumch of other places Im sure) sells BG44k for like 14 bux a can. They use 3 for their BG fuel system cleaning service, so that equals about $50 depending on the tax in your area, plus a little time.
They say that they use the three cans on your 1. intake manifold 2. injectors, and 3. in your fuel tank.
So, #3 is a no brainer, so lets just consider how to do the other 2.
I think for the intake manifold cleaning you could use a spray bottle and spray the bg through the TB -WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING- and I have also heard you can suck it into the manifold by inplugging the pcv valves tube and holding it in a jar of BG (to siphon it in) again with the engine running obviously.
As for the injectors, the fuel rail is easy enough to get to so I was thinking buy the banjo fitting at a hardware store (yes, more $ but you can re use it when you do the service again) and a small piece of fuel line, plus a large in line fuel filter.
Then you attach the banjo fitting to the fuel rail and attach the fuel filter with the hose. Fill the filter with BG.
This is where Im not sure how it would work... it seems that you would want to hook up the fuel filter then to the real fuel line so that the fuel pump would force the BG through the fuel rail and injectors, but you might not have to as long as you put the original fuel line in a bucket to catch the fuel that would come out when you started the car.
You could also disconect the coil so it wasnt igniting the BG when it sprays through the injectors, which would then give your cylinder heads a nice dose to break up any carbon build up, but this would very likely lead to flooding if you got too much BG/fuel in there.
Of corse, you could always just take out the injectors and give them a bath in it, but thats more work/time. I have also heard of spraying it through the spark plug hole on top of the pistons to clear up carbon.
THis is really just theory, are there any actual techs in here that know the techniques???

Re: BG44K.......DIY ??? (SOHCMAN)
i got an EEC kit from where i work for free (its basically the same thing you are talking about. only all i had to do was put one bottle in the engine through the valve cover... one in the fuel tank...and unhook a vacuum line directly to the intake manifold and suck it through with the JB canister (like what you were talking about with the jar only a lil more sophisticated...). remember when you do the intake manifold that you want to do it as slow as possible... sucking it in real fast is not a good way to do it. and after its all done drive around like a grandma and dont punch it until it stops smokin... when it stops smokin u want the reast of that crap outta ur system...so then you drive like a friggin maniac... it did wonders for my car. i get better performance and hella better gas mileage. of course your kit sounds a lil different so who know... good luck man

hmmm.... thats kinda weird...they prolly realize that its really not ALL that hard and basically if you **** up your car its your own damn fault....but if you **** up your car then you could get them into a lot of trouble for letting you buy that... thats some stupid **** that honda dealership is doing.

hmm, I dunno.
I think it only says that because they get them in "service packs" of 3 shrink packed together. and I wouldnt be suprised if that is the only difference. plus, the only instructions that are on the can are to add to your gas tank, so IF I did somehting like let the vaccume hose siphon it, they would have no fault due to my disobeying the instructions.

yeah...u never know tho... letting someone have them and experiment is a bad thing to do if the public is not suppose to have their hands on it.
