same as before. if you're sneaky you can do it without tearing everything appart again... i'll let you figure that out if you want to try.

Why don't you just un-bolt the rear pulley assembly thats on the block? There's like 4-5 bolts and pull it off to see what's in there.

the only way he's going to see something would be to drop the pan and maybe even the main cap bridge/brace. the "timing lock port" or hole in the back of the block leads into the crank case. anything jammed would be between the balance shaft and the inside walls of the block.

ok, got bolt to drop in pan with magnet. I am about to put timing belt on and just going to inch my way to find TDC sinc by turning crank an inch...then the cam an inch at a time counter clockwise. Also, I need to replace the a gasket that goes behind my rear balance shaft pulley on my 1997 Honda odyssey lx 2.2 lt motor. The gasket (not the oil seal) is like the water pump black rubber un ordinary shape gasket that fits into the groves. It is number 5 part in the motor-tear apart diagram. https://www.google.com/search?q=1997...3%3B1103%3B554Thank you, Michael
