auto or manul would help..

but either manual or auto i would rather spend a couple hundred bucks on a used one and put it in myself and test my luck on it then to spend thousands on a rebuilt (especially autos) and have it fail again sometime down the line.

sorry all...the question was for an auto tranny...on a 96 accord ex

i did the junkyard trans thing in the past 2 months on my 90 accord lx...i i was driving on an unpaved street and i didn't clear a manhole cover like i thought i would and cracked a huge hole on the case...i got a junkyard tranny and about 2-3 miles after installing it it failed...so the owner replaced it for another, got it installed and it runs...but goes into limp mode every so often...'S' light starts flashing...we'll see how long it lasts...so anyways...that same day i got the 90 acc tranny done.......my 96 acc tranny went out...what are teh fkn odd on that one???

i didn't wanna go with a 300-600 used one and start fkn around like on the other...
i got my car back today...1500 + 24k miles/ 2 yrs warranty...

the 's' light flashing on the other car throws 8 flashes and the trouble code book says... shift solenoid B..possible ground...if not, then internal pump failure...something like that...that's my commuter and i'm gonna run it til it dies...no sense in selling it to someone under these conditions or putting more $$$ inot bcz when i hit that manhole cover it's like a running back coming back from a broken leg or hip injuty or some ****...he can run again but not like before...

i'll cross my fingerts and hope my rebuilt tranny won't f' up anytime soon....
