Automatic Transmission Gear Position Switch Problem???
i swapped out the engine and tranny in my 96 accord with an obd1 jdm f22b. the transmission on the new engine has an automatic transmission gear position switch on the right side of the transmission housing. the old transmission doesnt. im reusing the original engine harness and there it no connector for the gear position switch. does this have to be hooked up? will it work fine without being connected to anything? can i swap the plate on the end of the transmission with the plate off the old one to eliminate it and have it work ok? please help me! thanks for any responses.
heres a pic of what it looks like. this pic was taken from the right front wheel well.

I believe that switch was incorporated in the shift selector housing in the console for the '96 and '97 madel years; and that trans mounted position switch can be disregarded
