Auto to manual swap 98 accord
Hey guys. Need some help and new to the site. I have a 98 accord with the f23a1 and auto trans. Looking to swap it over to a manual. Would just like to buy a whole car and swap everything over if possible. My gen of accord is pretty much out of the question because I can't find one that's a manual for a "parts car" price. So I was wondering if I could get a 97 or older accord with a manual trans and if so will everything bolt right up and swap over?

Cases are fairly close, but you may need to maintain the 98-02 mount bracket and mount to make it fit. There is also the 97-01 Prelude transmission, although the gearing may be lower. Better for acceleration but fuel economy may suffer. Avoid ATTS transmissions.
Have you checked with Japanese importers for compatible transmissions?
I would only advise against the 90-97 Accord trans as the gearing is for normal driving/cruising. Very conservative gearing. If all you care for is three pedals and stick then go for it.
