Acord type R euro R front end conversion
Has anyone swaped a cd-6 front end on a cd-5? I like the type R look with the swolen hood and grill and the one peice lights. My 95 2-door needs a new look to go with the blue top H22A and 5-speed. Any help with this conversion? If soo, I will include pics of the entire build up.

besides the headlights and the fogs and turn signals (fogs are OEM optional in the US), the CD6 is no different than the CD5

The poster is referring to the Euro Type R accord, the pic you have posted is the regular accord I believe. The euro type R's had a whole different front and rear end. Best chance is to have a clip shipped in from HK or europe and install it. Chassis wise I think it's the same, just the panels differ?

Really? Damn, I didn't know the chassis was different. Can you explain how it's different? That's interesting, I always thought it was just different panels.

yes, but if you read his post he talks about one piece headlights and a raised center section of the hood...and he asks about conversion...its obvious that an CD sir front is identical to any CD chassis accord which leads me to believe he actually meant the later style front end...

if im thinking what your thinking you might actually mean the accord type r - european market only...

Re: (gaydm.accord)
get ready to spend a **** load of money for that kind front end. I have never seen anyone sell accord euro stuff except for the bullshit you find on ebay. Good luck though

Thanks for the input. I tried on a 98+ accord bumper yesterday. Fits well except length issues. Also the hood and fenders appear to be shorter in total. This might be the look I want. With a creative mix of factory parts and aftermarket, shouldnt cost more than 400$
