Default Accord Air conditioner Problem

I have a 87 accord. The AC only came up rarely when I was driving.I had taken it to a mechanic, he said it was low on freon. I got the A/C recharged with 2 pounds of freon. But now the airconditioner blows cold air only for a very short duration, when the condensor fans come on. After the condensor fans shut off, then after a moment the A/C again starts blowing warm air.

Any suggestions, what I should do ?

Take 'em to an AC shop, not just a mechanic who may not specialize in AC.
I can't tell without pressure measurements on high & low sides, etc... but it sounds like maybe your expansion valve or evaporator may be plugged.

It's hard to tell from the short description. Maybe the mechanic just added refrigerant without really knowing what was wrong?
