Default 98 accord shimmy at 50 mph

I have a 98 accord with a 2.3 that has developed a shimmy/shake/ vibration all of a sudden. It happened right after a heavy acceleration where I accidentally pulled out in front of someone. I have replaced cv axle. Tires have been rotated balanced. Could this be a motor mount problem? I've had a vibration at idle for a while now that I know is mounts. I do have significant engine movement when doing the brake test while giving it gas. Can bad mounts cause a shimmy at cruise speeds? The shake is not rpm related but speed related. It goes away when put in neutral and coasting. What do y'all think and thanks a lot for reading.

How old are your tires?

Two of the tires are new. The other two are older but ok according to tire guy. As far as transmission goes, I thought maybe high gear had messed up too. But it still shakes even in third gear at that speed. It doesn't do it when acellerating, just part throttle cruise. I'm stumped. Something obviously warped after that acceleration. The car was very smooth riding before.

Perhaps the rotors are bad or need to be turned.

I would suspect those two older tires. See if you can get your hands on two known good tires? Or maybe even replace one with your spare...then drive it. See if it gets better...if not. Replace the other older on with the spare...try that one.

I have considered bad rotors but I don't feel any shimmy in steering wheel or when I brake. I have noticed a new noise though. There is a "tapping" sound I hear when coasting to a stop that slows down with the tires. I changed one cv axle because the boot had lost its grease. Who knows the other one may be going out too.

If you hear tapping, and you drove through a construction zone, pull the wheels off and look for anything sticking into the tire. You may be surprised to find a large piece of foreign material in your tire.

I may have it figured out. It has developed a tapping clicking kinda sound that coincides with the shake when I let off gas. I think it's the other cv axle that hasn't been changed. I will change it soon and report back.
